Blue Chip

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

1. About us and this policy

Blue Chip Lead Co Pty Ltd (ACN 702 834 142), trading as Blue Chip (Blue Chip, we, us), runs online advertising and websites that connect people looking for finance with licensed finance brokers and other partner businesses.

When you make an enquiry with us, we collect your details and pass them to one or more of those businesses so they can contact you. We are paid by those businesses for these introductions. We are not a lender or credit provider, and we do not give credit assistance or financial advice.

This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to our websites, landing pages, online ads and forms, emails, SMS and phone calls.

By submitting an enquiry, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal information as described in this policy.

2. What we collect and how

We only collect information that helps match you with the right business. Depending on your enquiry, this may include:

We collect this information:

We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we ask that you don't give it to us. You can choose not to give us information, but we may then be unable to connect you with a suitable business. You can contact us without giving your name, but we will need contact details to arrange a call back.

Cookies and pixels: we use them to run our websites, measure how our ads perform, and show you relevant ads on other sites and social media. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google accounts.

3. How we use and share your information

We use your information to:

Who we share it with:

We give your enquiry to no more than three businesses. We never sell enquiries in bulk or to unlimited buyers.

Overseas disclosure: some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. These include our CRM and marketing platform (GoHighLevel) and advertising platforms such as Meta and Google. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect your information consistently with the APPs. Our partner brokers are based in Australia.

4. Marketing and opting out

With your consent, we and our partner businesses may send you information about finance and related products or services by email, SMS or phone. Every marketing email and SMS from us identifies Blue Chip and includes a way to unsubscribe.

You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link, replying STOP to an SMS, or contacting us (section 6). We will act on your request within 5 business days. Opting out with us does not stop a broker you have already been introduced to; please tell them directly too.

We do not call numbers on the Do Not Call Register unless you have consented to the call, for example by making an enquiry.

5. Security and how long we keep it

We store information in secure, access-controlled systems and limit access to people who need it for their work. Our measures include password protection, two-factor authentication on key systems, and encrypted connections on our websites.

No system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations: generally up to 2 years after your last contact with us, or 7 years for business and financial records. After that, we securely delete or de-identify it.

6. Access, correction, complaints and contact

Access and correction: you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. There is no charge to ask; we may charge a reasonable fee for providing a large amount of information, and we will tell you beforehand.

Complaints: if you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
